In spite of running two successful shows of Satyamev Jayate, Aamir Khan has failed to beat Amitabh Bachchan even at the small screen. For example. after couple of episodes of Satyamev Jayate, opening TVR rating was conducted for Aamir Khan as TV host and surprisingly, he could achieve opening TVR of only 3.0 points. This number is pretty low even compare to Shahrukh Khan’s opening TVR of 12.
When Amitabh Bachchan came to small screen with the first show of Kaun Banega Crorepati on Star television, he actually changed starts of television. It was not just that, it also changed the fortunes of star television as even the channel was uplifted with its everyday episode of Kaun Banega Crorepati. He ran the first two seasons pretty successfully and when Shahrukh Khan started with the third season of KBC, even he got a good response with TVR of 12 points.
It was not just that, Aamir Khan could not even beat like of Akshay Kumar and Salman Khan who started their first appearance on an Indian television on very high note. Akshay Kumar started his television career with Fear Factor: Khatron ke Khiladi and gained lots of TVR because of being a stunt rider himself. Salman Khan started with Dus ka dum and worked on it for couple of seasons before coming out for Big Boss Season 4.
However, all these comparisons look bad when we talk about Aamir Khan. He has really provided something different in a television which we all were expecting from him and that’s what makes him special amongst all bollywood stars working for a television show. Let us also not forget that this show is produced by Aamir Khan himself.
