
Methi thepla is a low fat easy to prepare Indian breakfast. Breakfast they say is the most important food of the day and since most people are weight conscious these days, this is the right breakfast because it is especially good for those that want to loose weight.
Ingredients
I cup pf wheat flour
1 tsp of Haldi i.e. turmeric
½ bunch of methi leaves, properly washed and sliced
1 tsp of red chili powder
1 tsp of cumin seed powder
1 tsp of coriander powder
I cup of low fat yoghurt
Salt to taste
Water
Preparation
Put all the ingredients in a bowl and mix properly including the methi leaves, and kneed properly, and then leave it for about 10min. Make equal dough as many as possible out of the kneed and roll them out with a rolling pin into a round shape and roast each of them one by one. When properly roasted, remove and serve hot with low fat yoghurt.
Methi Thepla is easy to prepare, and it does not require oil. The methi leaves are rich in vitamins and iron. The low fat yoghurt is not fattening, easier to digest compared to milk and it is rich in calcium. Methi Thepla with low fat yoghurt is a healthy meal that will help you control your weight.
